While the Silvia is a wonderful machine it does have some shortcomings, namely in the accessories that ship with the machine.

| As you can see here, it is definitely too small for a 58mm portafilter basket. The picture actually has a La Marzocco double basket, but you will have the same problem using the stock Rancilio double basket. Granted, you can work around this by tamping multiple times. |  |
| However, I would really recommend getting a 58mm tamper. As you can see here it takes only a single tamp as the fit is now correct. |  |
